TLDR: Not for people under 30 & Bad Technique :/

I had really high hopes for this shop up until the technician started doing my nails. As someone who almost exclusively does her own gel manicures and does sets on others, I'm very particular with the shape and CUTICLES. I decided to treat myself for my birthday coming up, but clearly it was a mistake.

I started doing nails in 2019 and finally decided to try Gel-X on myself after multiple great reviews from others. I've applied them on others and know the correct procedures for application. This technician did NOT follow the correct steps for application. I'm typing this review more than 5 hours after the set has been completed and my nail beds feel like they're being squeezed like no other. During the process, she didn't place the gel tips on with any care at all, letting all the builder gel underneath coat my cuticles and flood underneath my natural nails. She made the minimal effort of scraping most of the excess on top off with her own nails, but didn't do any proper clean up. The beauty of Gel-X is that you can have your nails look absolutely perfect with minimal filing. However, this nail technician place my right thumb COMPLETELY crooked and used the longest stiletto tips. She also incorrectly applied my left index finger so much so that there was literally a gap between my natural nail and the gel extension. I could stick another one of my nails in the gap and still have room. I had to tell her that she needed to fill the gap with gel and she did so sloppily.

She asked me what shape I wanted, but many of the nails were crooked after she was done. I had to tell her multiple times that she needed to fix it. While using the e-file, she cut my cuticles on multiple finger on both hands multiple times. While using the hand file, she cut me under multiple nails on both hands. Blood was drawn from my left thumb. Thank god I took the file into my own hands to at least try to get my nails into the correct shape while she was getting polish.

Moving onto the polish and design application: I showed both the person at the front desk as well as the tech my inspo pic PRIOR to sitting down. I wish they would've just told me they couldn't do the design right when I sat down. All their design options are outdated. They only had glitter and circular rhinestones. This salon is clearly not with what's trending or popular with people in their 20s. The tech was careless with polish application and got polish all over my HANDS, which she used the BUFFER to get off. No cuticle nor under nail clean up was done.

I walked out of the salon with my nails and hands in pain. Honestly such a waste of $80 and a $10 tip (bc I'm not heartless). Wish I could get my time and money back.

I was a regular patron here from before ownership changed and referred many friends and family until my last experience. And now I actively tell people to avoid.

I came in for a pedicure and sugaring appointment that is scheduled a month prior because I was traveling the next day and had been texted confirmation for the day before... but as soon as I arrived I was told that the person doing the sugaring was delayed. The owner asked if I wouldn't mind having my pedicure first. I agreed but after my pedicure was done, the person doing my sugaring was still not there.

NOTE that my pedicure was terrible - the woman cut my skin near my cuticle so badly they had to put pressure to stop the bleeding and I had to ask for a bandaid REPEATEDLY. This made my pedicure go longer than average since they had to wait for the bleeding to stop before they could apply polish (regular polish so nothing fancy) and the person doing the sugaring was still not there...

They asked me to wait 30 minutes more. After I'd been there for over an hour since arrival! Well, I left and went elsewhere for my sugaring - shoutout to NYC Sugaring in Danville that fit me in after o explained my horrible experience.

Simply put, I will never return despite the measly $15 gift card I was given as an apology.

Vy is the best! She always does a great job on my nails and gets the shape just right. I get Gel-X nails which I am glad they offer instead of standard acrylics.

Worst! Worst! Worst! Do not come to this place! Honest review. We are nearby and come to this place to try based on review. Make an appointment is easy, just booked via yelp, this is only one star they deserved. We booked with Tammy and nightmare started.
1. No service at all. I booked Japan Vagan gel. Tammy just threw two nail color book to us. I checked with manager which design they can do. He told me just show the picture, we can do it. It turned out a marketing liar. Tammy do not know how to do it and spilled color to our hands and all over the table. Feels this is her first time to do it even she looks middle aged experienced one. She kept trying different way to do it but no luck and she has to complain the nail is small. And she seems do not understand English and do not communicate with customer, need someone else to translate to Vietnamese to her. And they do not know how to do transparent color too. We did not get what we came for, but we got disappointments and anger. So do not come here if you want some design or a little bit complicated technique.

Great experience all around! The ambiance is very clean and spa like. We were greeted by who I believe is the manager and he was very welcoming and kept checking on us to make sure everything was going well.

I went with my mom and we got two gel manis and pedis, they did a wonderful job! Would def recommend coming here!

I love love loveeee Polished Beauty Lounge, the attention to detail, beautiful establishment, wonderful and kind staff makes Polished my go-to nail salon. If you are thinking about it, definitely check them out you will not be disappointed. I promise!

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Unprofessionalism at Its Peak

I recently engaged with them for a sugaring service, and my experience was terrible. During the service, they broke my anklet. And since October of last, I've been left in the dark without any updates on the promised service and refund. The level of unprofessionalism displayed by this company is astounding.

I would call for updates and each time there were empty promises and zero effort to address or resolve the issue. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for them.
The utter lack of communication and professionalism is inexcusable.

Avoid coming here at all costs unless you enjoy disappointment and frustration.

I love Polished Fremont! I have been a client for years and any time I take in a photo Vy gets it just right! Not only that, but my nails stay on for 3-4 weeks (and I type so much for work!). The staff are all extremely friendly and treat you like family. If you haven't already stopped by, I highly recommend

First time getting my nails done here. I booked the appointment online for a signature manicure and signature pedicure. Online it was posted as $68, but I ended up paying $90 in total.

$44 for my regular nail polish pedicure and $46 for a natural gel nail manicure. I think my nail tech was Tammy for the pedicure, she did a great job cleaning up my nails and painting perfectly on the nail. I would definitely like to see her again!

For the gel manicure, I had a man whose name I don't know. He was very quick and friendly. He did a good job as well.

Also, I love that I can make appointments for any service online.
